Emerging with a vision to take street music to mainstream, T-Roy, aka Reezy, is a solo artist from San Francisco with lyrical ingenuity that sets him apart. Born Troy L. Alexander, his childhood was no different from any other young black male coming up in the streets of the inner city of San Francisco. At the age of 13, Troy began to notice his strong ability with words and phrases to create dope rhymes.
As time progressed, T-Roy found himself executing his lyrical gifts on stages with major artists such as Trina, Lil Scrappy, T-Pain, & Young Dro, just to name a few. Working with the CEO of Bayrootz Clothing, Pierre International Model Agency, AllStar Promotions, and being a founding member of Dues Paid Entertainment, T-Roy has taken on responsibility for booking shows, coordinating events, all the while honing his skills as an accomplished performer. T-Roy has evolved from an underground rapper to a mainstream hip-hop star and style icon.
In 2008, T-Roy dropped his debut album “Spit Fire” with the hit single “Rep The Bay.” He has also been featured on over 20 compilations, most notably “Music Hustle 2nd Edition & Fuck You Pay Me.” Although T-Roy is a solo artist on many of his projects, he’s not alone; Dues Paid Entertainment’s roster includes L Seven, aka Got Em, T&T Mob, Mobb Fam, and The Goonaholics. 2023 was good for T-Roy as he opened up for Jadakiss in Orlando and performed at the C2TV awards show hosted by Omar Gooding and was nominated in 2024 for the Radio Killa Indie Grammy Awards.
Currently, T-Roy has released several mixtapes and is working on the completion of his sophomore solo album “Cognac & Cufflinks.” T-Roy has teamed up with Jules Jones and is working on the completion of their debut group album “Welcome To TJ’s.” With “Welcome To TJ’s,” T-Roy & Jules Jones wanted to add a sophisticated and sexy twist, “old school meets new school, something your grandma and grandpa can listen to.” “Welcome To TJ’s” & “Cognac and With Real 2” are set to release in February 2024, and “Cognac and Cufflinks” will follow. T-Roy is set to take over.
