Breathless is a dynamic bi-coastal artist, operating between Atlanta, GA, and Oakland, CA. Born in Tachikawa, Japan, she is an emcee, songwriter, voice-over actor, and event curator. She has received an Omaha Entertainment Award for Best Hip Hop/Rap artist and has performed on notable stages such as The Warped Tour circuit, Outside Lands, Oakland Art & Soul Main Stage, San Francisco Pride Main Stage, Oakland Pride (Womyns & Main Stage), Oakland Art & Soul Festival (where she curated a segment), Sofar Sounds circuits, and voice-over talent for the cartoon character Carrie in the animated YouTube hit, Ghost Bus Kids.
Breathless has a viral song sample on TikTok with 1.4 million streams. She joined forces with the all-female powerhouse group Femme Deadly Venoms from Oakland, CA, whose album Femmenomenon was the most added Hip Hop album on NACC and featured on Queen Latifah’s CBS show, The Equalizer. She collaborates with Oakland-based Jazz Mafia, voted East Bay’s Best Band, and received the Local Sirens grant with collaborator Lil MC from Women’s Audio Mission in San Francisco, CA, to record their new EP.
Currently, Breathless is recording her newest project at Georgia State University’s School of Music and has been awarded the Creative Industries grant from Invest Atlanta to aid its release. She has released an NPR Tiny Desk Submission with her band, The Cosmos, and performs regularly in the Atlanta area, as well as in the Bay Area, both solo, with a DJ, and with collaboration acts like Lil MC and her group Femme Deadly Venoms. She is releasing a song a month, with the latest being “Move,” “Wave,” and “Heart Chakra.” Additionally, she teaches Hip Hop through the non-profit Soul Food Cypher to 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th graders in Atlanta Public Schools and is a 2025 Recording Academy Recommended Artist.
