While we still have at least a year before we can expect the second part of the billion-dollar “Michael” biopic to make its way to theaters, star Jaafar Jackson is already gearing fans up to expect fascinating storylines and heavy material in the upcoming sequel.
As The Root previously reported, the real-life nephew of the King of Pop recently spoke to GQ Middle East, where he teased that fans would see the upcoming film address his uncle’s infamous child sex abuse allegations and subsequent trial. Here are some other must-see moments that we hope are included in part two.
The Child Sex Abuse Allegations and How They Affected the Family

As has already been confirmed by Jaafar, this forthcoming film will explore the “Bad” singer’s child sexual abuse scandal. However, unlike other films and documentaries that have covered it before, per the younger Jackson, their film will “give even more insight from his point of view,” as opposed to outside narratives.

The Iconic Super Bowl XXVII Halftime Show Performance
When it comes to the laundry list of iconic performances the “The Way You Make Me Feel” singer gave us while he was alive, his January 1993 Super Bowl Halftime Show performance is without a doubt in the top 10 performances of his career. It quite literally changed how we’ve viewed halftime shows ever since.
The “Smooth Criminal” and “Remember the Time” Music Videos
A couple of the “Dirty Diana” singer’s iconic music videos such as “Smooth Criminal” and “Remember the Time,” would also be essential. We already know Jaafar has mastered the moonwalk, so it’s only right to see him take on that iconic “SC” lean and the Egyptian dance break down in “RTT.” It would be a crying shame if either of those were excluded.
Michael’s Famous Oprah Interview
Similar to the “Leave Me Alone” singer’s aforementioned scandal, another major moment that deserves a scene or two is the late singer’s legendary sit-down with Oprah Winfrey. There were so many moments in that interview that still live rent-free in all of our minds.
Michael’s Marriages and Becoming a Father

Though Michael was linked to many women throughout his life, the two that matter the most are: his first wife Lisa Marie Presley and second wife Debbie Rowe. The latter gave birth to the “Rock With You” singer’s eldest two children, Prince Michael Jr. and Paris. Getting to see how he navigated those relationships and how he grew into being a father is definitely something we’d want to get an intimate look at in the next biopic.
