Donald Trump had his share of blow-ups this week outside the White House as he defended another political controversy.
The 80-year-old was preparing to leave town for a campaign rally when reporters surrounded him with tough questions.
Unfortunately for the president, his latest appearance gave viewers something else to pick apart.

The cameras were rolling. The questions were coming fast. And before the president could finish making his point, another distraction had already stolen the show.
Trump’s answers quickly grew heated and so did his temper. Yet something else above his eyebrows was competing for the spotlight.
By the time cameras captured Trump responding to NBC News correspondent Monica Alba on Oct. 23, his famous combover appeared to have gone completely rogue.
His blond strands looked unusually disheveled. Some sections stood up. Others appeared rough and curly. The normally swept-over style seemed to have lost its direction.
Strong winds were whipping through the area. The gusts repeatedly lifted his thinning strands, exposing sections of his scalp. Just days earlier, the president had appeared with a darker, longer, and more controlled hairstyle.
The sudden transformation was difficult to ignore. Trump looked as though he had walked into a wind tunnel and forgotten to bring his hairspray.
The president was asked about his support for an Ohio campaign ad from Republican gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy featuring Democratic rival Amy Acton’s estranged mother questioning her daughter’s honesty.
The ad, criticized by both parties, revived attention on Acton’s childhood abuse. Trump stood by Ramaswamy and called Alba a “horrible little reporter.”
But on X, some viewers cared less about the political fireworks than about the apparent emergency unfolding on top of his head.
“Trump’s hair is in shambles. His wardens allowed him to be photographed looking skanky,” one person wrote. Another wondered, “Frightened by strong intelligent women. What is up with his hair?”
A third observer suggested his appearance and behavior were cause for concern. “Look at his hair. Hey Trump…..all you do is b—h at reporters, so why take questions? Do you realize how idiotic you sound?” another X user asked.
The jokes kept coming. Two brutal comments read “The jig is up on the comb-over” and “A little thin? The man is bald on top. Bald.”
“OMG look … looks like cheap synthetic extensions glued on his potato head by a toddler bought from Temu!! This sack of fake hair and orange bones exploding in real time as the country & world watch, WTF? #TemuTrump.”
Trump’s hair has practically become a recurring character in his second presidency. His political outbursts are unpredictable. His ever-changing combover might be even harder to keep up with.
In August, the president arrived in Las Vegas with noticeably fuller and brighter blond hair Days later, the extra volume seemed to disappear, giving way to an exaggerated side part.
Viewers wondered whether his stylist had changed directions halfway through the assignment.
September brought another makeover. Trump went for a darker, brunette-colored look during a New Jersey visit. The dramatic shift fueled another round of jokes about his grooming routine.
By October, the president was still experimenting with different shades. Earlier this week, he appeared with a darker brown color after returning from Mar-a-Lago. Friday’s windblown appearance made that latest transformation seem especially short-lived.
The president has repeatedly denied wearing a wig. During a Sept. 2 White House gathering, he addressed the longstanding rumors himself.
“For years I had to suffer with people saying, ‘He wears a wig.’ I don’t wear a wig,” Trump insisted.
He has also acknowledged the challenges of maintaining his signature hairstyle. In 2018, he joked about working hard to hide a bald spot.
More recently, Trump complained about visible scalp near the crown of his head. During a rally in San Antonio, he noticed the thinning area on a large screen and expressed his displeasure.
His fixation has become a source of entertainment for critics. Trump biographer Michael Wolff has even claimed that aides carry a portable kit containing hair patches. The allegation remains unverified.
Trump may have been determined to win the argument with reporters. Unfortunately, his combover appeared to be fighting a completely different battle.
