‘Look … OMG’: Trump Insists He Doesn’t Wear a Wig Then Shows Up in His Strangest Hairstyle Yet As Viewers Zoom In on the Sides of His Head

President Donald Trump stepped into the spotlight, and cameras locked in on something he probably wasn’t expecting.

The 80-year-old’s internet-breaking summer makeovers have now extended to the fall.

The 80-year-old Republican has experimented with several different hairstyles in recent months. Each transformation became headline news as the world reacted to his constant reinventions.

Since the 1980s, Trump’s blond combover has served as a signature part of his personal brand.

However, since returning to the White House in 2025, the president has seemed overly preoccupied with the gradually reducing strands on his head.

Trump previously insisted he doesn’t wear wigs, then showed up in what some call his strangest look yet.

The POTUS with reporters in the Oval Office on Sept. 28, 2026, while announcing plans for a $15 billion steel plant in eastern Iowa.

But once cameras caught him from the side, it became harder for some viewers to focus on his remarks. His profile quickly became the distraction, with social media users zooming in on the unexpected view of Trump “growing a mullet.”

The visual was almost as brutal as his on-camera arrival at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on the night of Sept. 27.

Reporters caught up with the POTUS after he returned from attending the Presidents Cup golf tournament in Illinois.

However, his comments at the gaggle got overshadowed by online discussions about his coffee-hued hair.

Trump spent about four minutes bragging about the American squad’s 17-13 victory over the non-European International Team in the golf competition.

He commended Team USA captain Brandt Snedeker and the other competitors in the tournament. Once again, viewers zoomed in on the missing sides of his head and his large brown bang flapping in the wind.

“Yooo, that toupee is on its last legs,” one eagle-eyed observer noted on X. A second person had a similar take, writing, “It’s too small for his head. Look at this, the sides of his head are [bare]! OMFG.”

The Daily Beast readers also shared their thoughts on the MAGA frontman’s latest hair reveal, dropping hilarious one-liners about his hairpiece.

“When the back bottom of your hair doesn’t match the top texture and color… come on! Time to find a new toupee maker!!” someone exclaimed.

The wisecracks directed at Trump continued when a poster added, “Even his few remaining strands of hair are trying to get away from him.”

Another said, “I’ve never understood what’s going on with his hair. Doesn’t the man own a mirror? He looks ridiculous. It’s one of the many reasons I hate him.”

As much as the wig allegations have taken over the internet in recent months, Trump insists his hair is real. The topic even came up at a White House Rose Garden dinner on Sept. 2.

“For years I had to suffer with people saying, ‘He wears a wig.’ I don’t wear a wig,” he told the Republican lawmakers and government officials assembled at the event.

Trump’s denial did not put the wig rumors to rest. Especially since he unveiled several different hairdos throughout the year. Photos of his straight-back combover lit up the internet in June.

Then in August, it seemed his hair got an unexpected boost when “The Art of the Deal” author showed up in Las Vegas with a noticeably fuller and brighter head of hair.

The most jaw-dropping change took place in early September. Trump ditched his blond mane for a darker tone when he arrived in New Jersey as a brunette.

Trump’s ever-changing appearance became an easy target for late-night comedians.

In particular, “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon tied the president’s hair to his failed renovation of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

“That’s what happens when you hire the Reflecting Pool people to dye your hair,” Fallon, 52, quipped about Trump’s two makeover disasters last week.

Fallon also treated his audience to a fake “Just for Men: Touch of Cray” hair dye ad roasting Trump. Fellow late-nighter Jimmy Kimmel joined in on the mockery as well.

“It seems like the only thing he got done was his hair. I don’t know if you saw this, but the leaves are changing colors, and so is the president’s head,” Kimmel, 58, said on the Sept. 9 episode of his show.
