Family of Black Mother is Desperate For Answers Following Her Mysterious Disappearance After Louisiana Car Crash

Missing Texas mother Christin “Chrissy” Munn-Holliday has been missing for nearly two weeks without a trace after a mysterious hit-and-run car crash on Highway 10 in Louisiana. Now, her mother, LaReshia Holliday, says some of the details just don’t add up, as Louisiana investigators have yet to answer pressing questions about what led Chrissy to allegedly walk away from a hit-and-run car crash scene, with no one reportedly seeing her.

“They have her car but not her. I need answers now,” Holliday wrote on Facebook, as Covering Katy reported.

Chrissy disappeared on Sept. 30 after a reported two-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 in Louisiana’s Atchafalaya Basin. The Katy, Texas, mother had left her 4-year-old son with her parents the previous day and traveled east in a gray BMW, according to local outlets. Her family lost contact with her in the early morning hours.

Louisiana State Police believe Chrissy was driving one of the vehicles involved in the crash and left the scene on foot, according to Fox 26 Houston. Witnesses reportedly saw her walking away. But her mother rejects that account, fearing her daughter was targeted or abducted instead.

“My baby didn’t walk off that bridge. I don’t even believe my baby got out of her car. I believe she was snatched out of her car,” Holliday told WBRZ. Chrissy’s father, Robert Munn, shares the same doubts.

The family believes traffic-camera footage may show Chrissy driving at high speed, possibly because someone was following her. Munn has questioned why she would disappear from an elevated bridge stretching roughly 18 miles over Louisiana’s swamps and waterways.

“There’s no way my baby made it off that freeway and no one seen her,” Holliday told KLFY. “Either she fell over the bridge, or I don’t think she fell over the bridge, ’cause there’s no way she could fall over the bridge without them putting her over the bridge roads. Either they put my baby over the bridge, and it’s cameras, and people should be able to pull them cameras up and see.”

The family is urging investigators to revisit the circumstances surrounding the collision and question the people involved, including the other drivers connected to the crash. Her parents are also pursuing leads, including possible surveillance footage from a Lafayette gas station where her cellphone reportedly last pinged, WBRZ reported. Search crews have used boats, drones and ground teams to comb the surrounding terrain.

Authorities have not ruled out abduction. Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi said investigators are exploring all possibilities, while the Harris County Sheriff’s Office leads the missing-person investigation and the Louisiana State Police investigate the crash.

Meanwhile, Chrissy’s family is offering a $20,000 reward for her safe return. They’ve also launched a GoFundMe.

The central questions remain unanswered, including what surveillance footage, phone records or the other people involved might reveal.

For her mother, the uncertainty is even more unsettling as she knows a little boy is waiting for his mother to come home. “All I could tell him is that she was in a crash, that she- we can’t find her,” Holliday told WBRZ.

Until investigators establish what happened, Chrissy’s disappearance remains a mystery, and her family continues searching for answers and for a daughter and mother they desperately want back.
