The 2026 Primetime Emmys went off without a hitch on Monday. But before stars were handed that coveted award, they took to the red carpet to strut their stuff and show off their fits.
Unfortunately, some attendees didn’t exactly hit the mark, earning them a spot on our list of fashion trainwrecks of the night. While we know they all had the best intentions of serving and slaying, sometimes some outfits are just better left at the showroom.
Corey Hendrix
Not too many people can pull off salmon pink, let alone an entire monochrome salmon pink suit. While we get the aim, the execution here just didn’t land for us.

Quinta Brunson

Usually Quinta Brunson comes through with a sweet and sexy look, but this torn-apart, battered-looking slip dress is the complete opposite of that. Yes, we know it’s supposed to have the off-the-shoulder effect, but no. She can and has come harder than this.
Colman Domingo
Even a fashion god like Colman Domingo can have an off night sometimes. And that’s exactly what tonight’s look represented. But given the fact that he has more style than over half of Hollywood, we’re gonna let this slide.
Denée Benton
The key to having your stomach out in certain dresses or two-piece ensembles is to make sure the proportion of the skirt fits the way it needs to so the entire look feels balanced. That’s not what happened here, and we’re really upset by it because it could’ve been a major serve!
Mycah Bacchus Maye
If the song “Fairy” by Myaap were a person, it would be Mycah Bacchus Maye in this feathery, ethereal-looking gown. A high-low dress can be tricky to make work, and with all the extra fluffiness happening, it doesn’t really give us all the glittery good feels.
Cynthia Adarkwa
One word: bows. Another word? WHY? Just why? The color is already a beautiful contrast against Adarkwa’s skin, but the bows don’t elevate this look at all.
Pearlena Igbokwe
Prints are always spotted on a carpet, but this one just felt like a couple of yards of fabric from Michaels were wrapped around and pinned to Pearlena – and we highly doubt that’s the look she was going for.
Jessica Willams
Jessica Williams is truly the gift that keeps on giving on “Shrinking,” but that doesn’t mean this dress had to be a party favor. It looks like a Sweet 16 dress variant, and while we know she can pull off any look thanks to her stunning face, we wish she hadn’t chosen this one.
RuPaul
For someone as fabulous as RuPaul to pop out at the Emmys in a fit that looks like he’s going to dinner at TAO is a bit shocking. Surely, there was a better ensemble? No? OK.
Samba Schutte
If you can play connect-the-dots on your jacket, then maybe, just maybe, you have too many small polka dots on your fit. We get what you were going for, but hopefully, the next version of this fit will land better with bigger dots.
Jamal Sims
(Author’s note: I love leopard, so it truly pained me to add this to the list. But it is possible to wear too much leopard, and this was one of those occasions. Maybe just the jacket next time?)
Tiffany Haddish
To be fair, it’s not like this look is just God-awful. It’s just that it does nothing to flatter Haddish or her shape. It doesn’t add or take away anything, which makes it unremarkable.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II
Yahya, you’re literally one of our faves! And you will forever be our Wonder Man, but this jacket felt lopsided (much like Marvel’s decision to cancel your show’s second-season renewal). We don’t like either one for you!
