Superstar streamer Kai Cenat became the first Black streamer to present a fashion collection at New York Fashion Week, debuting VIVET’s inaugural collection. AThe streamer-studded show blurred the lines between fashion, style, and internet culture, translating Cenat’s distinct point of view from the screen to the runway for his Spring/Summer 2027 debut.
VIVET’s first show, held at One World Observatory in New York City, stayed true to Cenat’s experience as an unapologetic first-time designer. He didn’t shy away from incorporating that raw experience — or the raw hems — into his collection, setting the tone for a line rooted in Cenat’s vision of contemporary streetwear. The collection leaned heavily into loose-fitting, practical pieces with minimal designs which progressed into bold statement looks and highly tailored pieces, giving everyday streetwear a distinctly VIVET point of view.
The Evolution of VIVET: From Raw Hems to High-End
The pieces in Act 1 didn’t jump out the window. Instead, Cenat showed intentionality through stylish basics, casual wear and minimalist details, staying true to humble beginnings, athletic comfort and functionality. Models stepped out in boxy sleeveless tees, wide-leg drawstring joggers and raw-hemmed hoodies, occasionally layered with knits tied around the waist and heavyweight outerwear. The opening looks offered subtle hints of what was to come, from touches of asymmetry and faux fur to premium shearling, raglan moto jackets, bags, and backpacks.

The collection quickly picked up momentum with bold pops of color, chunky furs, and more daring silhouettes entering the chat. The progression felt deliberate, moving VIVET beyond its relaxed streetwear foundation and toward a more elevated visual language.
By Act 3, the runway was fully set ablaze, with floor-length fur coats, sharply tailored leathers, sleek silhouettes, and contrasting silk textures showcasing an elevated level of craftsmanship. Feminine ensembles were paired with broader shoulders, sharper lapels, longer inseams and more structured proportions, giving traditionally softer pieces a commanding edge. It was a fitting culmination of “Outshining,” with Cenat shedding the restraint of the collection’s earlier acts and stepping into a bossed-up vibe.
VIVET: The Journey
According to Cenat, all first-time customers will receive a copy of his personal design journal, documenting the date, time, location and inspiration behind the pieces, along with Polaroids capturing each learning moment throughout every stage of development. He brought that same transparency to his runway show, structuring the collection in three acts that followed the same journey: Act 1, “The Beginning,” introduced the story; Act 2 moved through the trial-and-error of finding his way; and Act 3, “Outshining,” represented shedding the past and stepping into a new life and new beginnings.
VIVET — which translates to “he, she, or it will live forever” — has been in the making for the past three years, drawing inspiration from his life, the lessons found along the way, and the transformation that comes with becoming a stronger version of yourself.
Cenat’s Career Evolution
Cenat announced his career change back in January, shocking his ever-growing YouTube audience with a video titled “I Quit.” The viral star expressed his need to “push limits” and explore what he could “truly create in life.” That mindset was evident throughout VIVET, as the line unapologetically owned modern streetwear while pushing the aesthetic toward a more elevated, high-end look, pulling from new-age culture, athletic influences and the evolving language of style.
Following the show, Cenat shared an emotional group hug with his AMP (Any Means Possible) collective, which he co-founded alongside Fanum, Agent 00, Duke Dennis, ImDavisss and ChrisNxtDoor. The moment felt fitting for a collection so deeply rooted in growth, collaboration and turning over a new leaf to build something bigger.
Now, the viral streamer-turned-designer — who made his mark as the first Black Twitch streamer ever to show at New York Fashion Week — is putting VIVET’s “see now, buy now” philosophy into motion, with select pieces from the debut collection already available.
