As a 19-year-old soccer prodigy and a finalist for the 2026 World Cup, Lamine Yamal has become one of the most talked-about athletes this summer. But gaining just as much attention as Yamal is his 3-year-old brother, Keyne, who has captured hearts across the world for being so adorable and for the wholesome bond he has with his superstar big bro.
If you have spent any time on social media recently, you might have already seen many clips of Keyne. He has become an unofficial mascot for Team Spain as he sits in the crowd, screaming in support of the team, as well as waving and blowing kisses to his brother from the stands.
On TikTok, folks love every clip they come across of baby Yamal. They often write in the comments, “I don’t even watch football, but this kid is so precious,” “He is the cutest,” and “He’s the only reason I’m supporting Spain.”
But while the bond between Lamine and Keyne Yamal is already clear, it goes deeper than fans might realize. Even though there is a significant gap of almost 15 years, Lamine completely adores Keyne. According to The Athletic, the soccer star once said, “My little brother means everything to me. I am in love with him; it feels like he is my son.”

As we previously told you, Yamal grew up in a working-class neighborhood in Rocafonda, Mataró, a municipality in Spain. However, with the life soccer has provided him, the 19-year-old is doing everything he can to make sure Keyne gets all that life has to offer. He does not just take care of his mom and brother, either; for Yamal, it is about making sure that his whole family can live a life of relaxation.
In an interview with the Spanish podcast Fundación José Ramón de la Morena, he told host José Ramón, “I come from an apartment where the kitchen and the bedroom were in the same place. So, I see my mother happy; I see that my brother can have a childhood that I would’ve wanted, and that’s what makes me happiest.” Continuing, Yamal added, “I see that my father is at peace at home, that my grandmother is at peace at home. My mother has everything she wants. To me, she’s my queen; that’s what I want most”.
Outside of the obvious love they display for each other on the pitch, Yamal is always posting his baby brother on his socials. He frequently shows that the two are joined at the hip in what might be one of the most adorable sibling bonds on the internet.
