From legendary tennis victories to front-row fashion week appearances, four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka has become just as celebrated for her timeless style as her tennis serve. Whether she’s stepping onto the court in bold silhouettes or dazzling in couture on the red carpet, she certainly knows how to bring an effortless cool that always feels uniquely her own. The athlete doesn’t just wear fashion– she plays with it, blending athleticism and cultural heritage with her individuality.
Beyond the outfits themselves, Osaka represents a new era of athletes who move seamlessly between sports, entertainment and fashion without compromise. Most recently, Osaka’s entrance and reveal at this year’s French Open was the talk of the tournament. Now, we’re revisiting some of her standout looks over the years… on and off the court!
Making an Entrance

On day three of the 2026 French Open, Osaka showed up dressed as if she had just stepped off a red carpet. The champ walked onto the clay court wearing a black corset and a matching pleated gown. Heads were already turning, even before Osaka revealed her completed look.
Eiffel Tower-Inspired Gold Details

The gold, pleated tennis outfit was designed by Nike. According to reports, Osaka chose this design as a nod to the Eiffel Tower, one of the most notable landmarks in France.
Purple at the US Open

For some folks, Osaka’s latest statement was the first time she’d appeared on their fashion radar. But the rest of us know exactly how she gets down! Let’s flash back to last year’s US Open in New York. Osaka once again teamed up with Nike to reveal this stunning purple jumper, which included a bubble skirt.
Matching Shoes

And we can’t forget the matching shoes!
Osaka’s Latest Met Gala Look

This year’s Met Gala theme was “Costume Art,” and Osaka wore a heavy white dress designed by Robert Wun. It featured exaggerated shoulders and was adorned with delicate red feathers and a matching headpiece. However, this was only part of the show-stopping look.
A Grand Reveal

Underneath the white dress, Osaka revealed a sculpted red dress with matching gloves.
Osaka x Robert Wun

Osaka has a close relationship with London-based fashion designer Robert Wun. Earlier this year, she collaborated with the Hong Kong native on the third day of the event. On top of the white, veiled hat, a single butterfly was placed. This was a direct reference to the 2021 Australian Open, when a butterfly landed on Osaka’s face.
Pushing the Fashion Limits

Outside of the tennis court, Osaka is no stranger to bringing edge to all of her red carpet looks. Here, she attended the 2024 GQ Men Of The Year, and taking inspiration from the name of the event, Osaka pulled up wearing a white button up and tie.
A Green Bow

The bigger the bow…
In 2024, Osaka also turned heads when she wore several outfits that featured a large bow on the back of her jacket. The lime detailing was a nod to the classic color of a tennis ball.
Osaka’s Donna Summer-Inspired Hair

Osaka is well-known for her outfits, but you definitely can’t forget the hair! Take this November 2024 look, where the tennis star channeled her inner Diana Ross and Donna Summer for the blow-out of the century!
Pretty in Pink

Last year, Osaka wore an all-pink outfit that caught the attention of many. Even though her devastating first-round loss to Paula Badosa of Spain made national headlines, Osaka was dressed in pink with matching hair bows that stole the show.
First Time at the Met Gala

In 2021, Osaka made her Met Gala debut, where she also co-chaired. The theme was “A Lexicon Of Fashion,” and Osaka paid homage to her Japanese heritage. She said her older sister Mari Osaka helped design the look along with Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière.
“For me Americana kinda means a mix of all cultures and this dress and this look kind of represents my two backgrounds, Haitian and Japanese, so I was really glad I was able to incorporate it,” she said.
Fiery Red Outfit

Osaka dominated the US Open in 2025. On day three, she wore a fiery red jumpsuit, but it’s the details of the outfit that made everyone do a double-take.
Matching Labubu

The athlete wore a head full of bedazzled roses– all to match her red Labubu!
Bringing Back the Bows

Back to the bows!
Osaka wore a black version of her bow tennis outfit in 2024. This time, her head was covered in pearls, which matched an oversized white bow on the back of her jacket.

Clearly, Osaka is a stickler for details! While the world was mesmerized by the large bow on her back, some probably skipped over the mini bows on the back of her Nike shoes.
