Love is in the air, allegedly. That’s what fans of Keke Palmer and “Hot Ones” host Sean Evans think after a recent episode of Palmer’s podcast, “Baby, This Is Keke Palmer,” captured everybody’s attention online and had folks pointing out the undeniable chemistry between them. Let’s get straight into it!
Now, if you don’t know the lore between Palmer and Evans, it all started back in 2023 when the “Hot Ones” host appeared on British journalist Amelia Dimoldenberg’s show, “Chicken Shop Date,” and admitted he had a crush on Palmer when she first appeared on his show in 2017 and again in 2021.
Then, returning to the show in 2025 for the third time after hearing of Evans’ small crush on her, Palmer confronted Evans about the hots he has for her, and at the end of the episode, she asked him if he wanted to “have a quick smooch to see if there’s a spark.” Ever since then, folks have been claiming the chemistry between the two is sizzling hot. After Palmer’s latest podcast episode, fans want them to get together already!
Clips of the podcast have been circulating on TikTok, with one of the most popular being of Evans explaining to Palmer why he likes her so much.
“There are a lot of reasons you’re a good guest,” Evans begins. “You’re obviously charismatic. You’re smart. You’re beautiful. You have a way of talking about the stuff that you do. You know, you’ll say something smart or thoughtful, and then you’ll provide an example from your career, and then you’ll undercut that with a little joke.”
If that wasn’t enough to convince you that Sean Evans is falling head over heels, he also admitted to Palmer that his first celebrity crush growing up was Left Eye, whose real name is Lisa Lopes, from TLC. When Palmer responded that she played Chilli in the 2013 film “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story,” Evans replied with a smooth, “I know,” and, “That’s absolutely close enough from where I sit.” Whew. Is it getting hot in here?
Ever since that podcast episode went live, fans have been vouching for Evans and asking Palmer to take the man seriously. In a post that now has 1 million likes, TikTok user @katone pleaded on Sean Evans’ behalf, “Keke, girl, just give the lil bald boy with the chicken wings a chance, please, please, please, girl.”
The user continued, “I’m begging you. You’ll be happy. He’ll provide; he’ll be your rock. You’ll always be laughing; you’ll always be supported. Your baby will have a solid stepfather. Girl, give the little bald man with the chicken wings a chance! We all wanna see it. Don’t worry about him being White, girl. We don’t care.”
In the comments, First We Feast, the company that produces “Hot Ones,” wrote, “Period.” Keke Palmer saw the video too, commenting “U are amazing” to the user, but she left fans hanging on whether she would give Evans a chance.
Another TikTok creator, @Juliescuration, posted that while she would never usually advocate for Keke Palmer to get with a man, Evans is an exception. “There are about six men left on this planet who actually have the capacity to be a good partner, like a Sterling K. Brown, a Ryan Coogler, and for whatever reason, we all feel that Sean could be one of those six men when it comes to you specifically,” she said.
Going on to explain why she thinks Palmer and Evans would be a good match, @Juliescuration stated, “You have the fundamentals in common but are still different, so the relationship would always be interesting. You’re both from the Midwest; you both love your mothers; you’re both earth signs. You grew up on TLC and ‘Living Single.’ What White man from the Midwest grew up on TLC and ‘Living Single’?!”
Below the post, fans emphasized @Juliescuration’s points and gave more reasons as to why the pair would be a perfect match.
“He’s not intimidated by your light; he lets it shine,” wrote one user.
“I worked on ‘Hot Ones’ for years. Sean is a great dude, even to the interns. Even 10 years ago. Love you, Sean,” posted a former employee.
Others are convinced the two are in a secret relationship. One user wrote, “Keke, blink twice if you’re secretly dating him and don’t want us in on it yet.”
The rumors have also spread to X, where fans are even more sure that the pair will get together soon enough.
“This is how Zendaya was laughing around Tom. It’s happening,” posted one user, referencing the early chemistry between the “Spider-Man” stars.
Another fan plucked a clip from the podcast episode and pointed out the pair’s physical chemistry: “Her hand on his knee, his hand on her back, oh, we’re witnessing a love story in real time.”
Another user on X posted: “I’m not a lovey-dovey person at all, but their chemistry seems to be too real. Like, I’m really rooting for Keke Palmer to date a white man, what is happening?”
