We’re still over a week away from Memorial Day, the unofficial start of summer, but super producer DJ Khaled is already ready to be outside, showing off a jaw-dropping weight loss transformation that has the entire internet talking.
In a May 11 post on Instagram, the 50-year-old hitmaker and his son, Aalam, are seen showing off their stylish Mother’s Day fits. And while the 6-year-old nearly stole the show, wearing an adorable denim two-piece set and a fresh pair of Jordans, it was Khaled who really got people talking.
The “All I Do is Win” artist was clearly eager to show off his look, which included a blue jacket, jeans and coordinating Nike sneakers. Playfully calling himself “Slim Jim,” Khaled made sure that Aalam, who doubled as a cameraman, got shots of his proud papa from every angle. Khaled seems to be committed to keeping the weight off, already planning a shopping trip for a whole new wardrobe.
“I gotta go buy all new clothes,” he says in the clip.
The May 11 post has received thousands of comments from fans who were pleasantly surprised to see a new, slimmed-down Khaled. Others tried to come up with a new moniker that reflects his new physique.
“From DJ Khaled to DJ Salad

,” wrote one commenter.
One commenter applauded Khaled for modeling healthy behavior to his fans, especially as Black Americans show disproportionately higher risk of heart disease, stroke and hypertension, according to the American Heart Association.
“Losing the weight is a good look! Not just for him, but it sets a great example. It’s not easy to [lose] weight & it alone can be a battle no matter how rich you are. This is great for him,” they wrote in part.
The producer, who has worked with top artists, including Jay-Z, Rick Ross and Drake, has credited his weight loss to a more active lifestyle, which includes golf and walking 15,000 steps per day. In February, the producer posted a dramatic before-and-after comparison of his weight loss transformation. The post, which has received over 200,000 likes, was captioned in part, “You either win with us, or you watch us win; I’m just getting started.”
Khaled has also been open about using GLP-1s to help with his weight loss, including appearing in a Super Bowl commercial for Wegovy.
No matter what he does, his fans are ready to cheer him on.
“You’ve been getting active my brother! I’m proud of you
” wrote someone in the comments.
