It’s been nearly two months since “Real Housewives of Atlanta” stars Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker finalized their divorce, but it looks like there may still be some hard feelings between the two based on social media comments and Kandi’s new play. And now, we may have a little more information about what caused their shocking split.
If you’ll remember, we told you that news the two were parting ways after 11 years of marriage sent shockwaves through the Housewives fandom when it first dropped in November 2025. By early March, the former couple’s divorce was final, just four months after filing.
We also told you at the time that the two reached a settlement, with a Georgia judge telling them to “provide a final judgment, parenting plan, child support addendum, child support worksheet, etc.” for review by the following week. We learned details about the division of assets—but still, nothing about why they decided to go their separate ways in the first place.
Now, however, it looks like we may be inching closer to the truth, as evidenced by social media exchanges between the two.
The first happened in the comment section of one of Buruss’ recent Instagram posts, which showed her mother, Joyce, singing and humming to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” before flashing back to an old “RHOA” episode when she joked with Tucker that there would be no mountain high enough “to keep her off his a**” as it relates to him potentially treating Burruss wrong. When Joyce snaps back to reality, she tells her daughter off-screen that she was simply humming and thinking about Burruss’ upcoming, one-woman show titled “I Did, I Do, I’m Done.”
Unfortunately, Tucker wasn’t too fond of the promo video and left a comment underneath, writing, “They will use me until I’m all used up! And I was supposed to be the opportunist! Damn, get your tickets!”
Burruss responded, saying, “Please stop playing victim. Wrong road, wrong road.”
Tucker quickly clapped back. “I’m not playing victim. We exploited our relationship on the way in so we might as well do it on the way out. Get y’all tickets!” he wrote.
The second exchange came days later when Burruss posted yet another promotional flyer for the play, and Tucker, once again, felt some type of way about it.
“Petty Pendergrass! Lol support your girl Kandi,” he penned underneath her post.
In a surprising twist, Burruss returned the same energy with an equally petty descriptor for her ex-husband.
“Well thank you Cheat-ee Pablo! I appreciate your support!” she wrote.
“Cheat-ee?” As in, like, cheating? Whew, it doesn’t look good for you, Tucker. This comment, along with early reviews of her show that add to the narrative that their divorce was due to his cheating, paints a bad picture all around. As noted by WBLS on Friday, the Xscape singer explained during the show that she found text messages in July 2025 that basically confirmed Tucker’s infidelity. However, it was his nonchalant response that led her to end things.
This could very well be a fictitious story dramatized for a play, and it could have nothing to do with what Burruss actually went through. But at this point, truth and fiction are starting to look more and more alike.
