In a deeply personal new update, TikTok influencer Nara Smith is sharing some much-welcomed news regarding her family. Following her two-year-old daughter’s journey private, the lifestyle creator has finally broken her silence with a health update that is bringing her followers to tears.
If you remember, it was not long ago that Smith shared that her baby girl, Whimsy Lou, received the diagnosis after she and her husband, Lucky Smith, visited multiple doctors to figure out her ailment. Per E! News, after multiple X-rays, ultrasounds, and a biopsy, they finally received the heartbreaking news that the young child had cancer and needed to start chemotherapy immediately. To top it all off, Smith received the news while she was postpartum with her fourth child, Fawnie Lou, who was born in September 2025.

“Processing this and navigating all of this as a family has been really hard. A lot of you have probably realized I’ve been posting a little bit less, and this is the reason why,” Smith said in an Instagram and TikTok post at the time. “Having found all of this out and navigating this while postpartum, also loving and caring for our other kids at home, also being in the hospital with Whimsy a lot and balancing work on top of that has been really challenging.”
Fast forward to July 2026, however, it seems those challenging times have finally diminished, as evidenced by a new post she made with her supporters. In the video, she shared that their daughter had finally gone into remission and that she was officially done with treatment.
“Lucky and I have been going through this and processing it for the last eight months, and we were debating on even sharing such a private part of our life,” Smith said in a video shared in a recent Instagram video. “We wanted to wait until she is done with treatment, and us knowing what the outcome of her situation would be before sharing it, and even finding the words to share it.”

She went on to share that now that their daughter is back on the right foot, she and their family were “trying to return to everyday life and taking it day by day.” Before ending, Smith also expressed her gratitude for those who’ve shown her kindness and support throughout their challenging time and gave a word of encouragement to families going through similar situations.
What’s more is that Smith shared that the health crisis with her own child opened her eyes to the difficulties other families face when it comes to paying for medical care. As a result, she created a GoFundMe so others could donate and will disperse the funds to those in need.
“Going through chemo treatments opened my eyes to how expensive medical care is and what a toll it takes on families specifically,” Smith said. “So, I’ve been researching charities and foundations to support. But in the meantime, want to post some links that could help families.”
