Reality TV fans were in for a shock after recently learning that the popular “Love & Hip-Hop” franchise would be going off the air after 15 years and 13 seasons. Throughout its time on air, the show—which spanned across four major cities—gave us countless memorable moments from table-flipping fights, to viral one-liners, to enough reunion chaos to fuel the social media streets for days on end.
Whether you tuned in faithfully week to week to the Atlanta, New York, Miami or Hollywood franchises or only caught the clips after they exploded online, there’s no denying the role the series played in changing the landscape of reality television forever. That’s why we felt it fitting to take a look back at some of the most hilarious, iconic, cringe-worthy and messy moments from over the years before the show says its final goodbye this fall with “Love & Hip Hop: The Final Chapter.”

Best: Joseline Hernandez & the “Maid”
The way the phrase, “Hey maid, I see you got on your maid outfit like you always do,” has become a timeless internet meme should be studied. It’s such a smooth and iconic insult, and to think, we have Joseline Hernandez and the “Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta” franchise to thank for it.
Worst: Stevie J, Mimi and Joseline Go to Therapy
After all these years, we’re still unsure why Stevie J thought it would be a good idea to have two women who have deep issues with each other in the same room. Hopefully, after getting into a tussle with Joseline, he learned his lesson for good.
Best: Cardi B Reading Peter Gunz for Filth
Long before people knew Cardi B as a fashion icon and “Bodak Yellow” rapper, she was already building her fan base on “Love & Hip-Hop: New York” as a former stripper from the Bronx with a big personality and an even bigger funny bone. She was also known for keeping it all the way real and never backing down from telling people about themselves, much like she did with her costar Peter Gunz during the season six reunion in March 2016.
Best: Ray J and His Mysterious Hat
While the focus here should’ve been the disagreement between Ray J and Safaree, we couldn’t help but be distracted by the fact that Ray J’s hat kept moving around on his head. What kind of voodoo or magic does he have going on? It’s so ridiculously funny for no reason!
Worst: Kirk and Rasheeda’s Entire Relationship
This is no shade, but watching Rasheeda be constantly disrespected by her “husband,” Kirk, season after season, was arguably more draining than the random fights between the women. Time and time again, he gave her more than enough reasons to leave, but she was still there, still cussing him out, still arguing with other women, and we still don’t know why! This was like watching an extremely slow and painful death.
Best: Cardi B Being Cardi B
We alluded to it earlier, but there’s really no one as funny as Cardi B. And as much as we enjoy her on social media now, she was completely unfiltered and raw back when she was on “Love & Hip-Hop: New York.” We dare you not to laugh at these clips!
Worst: Erica Mena & Kimbella Vanderhee Go At It
If there’s one thing people on reality TV know how to do well, it’s ruin somebody else’s function with some drama. And that’s exactly what went down between Kimbella Vanderhee when she popped up at Erica Mena’s party. Time and place, folks—TIME AND PLACE!
Best: Shekinah, The Marching Band Leader. “Yes, Niece!”
There are just too many good lines in this exchange between Shekinah and Akbar V, from the former star saying the latter is her niece, to Akbar saying Shekinah is dressed like a member of the marching band and more. Thank you, ladies, for this hilarious moment!
Worst: Ray J & Princess Love Fight By the Pool
At this point, whenever Ray J and Princess get together, there’s a 50/50 chance that things will go all the way left. And while she escalated things first by throwing her drink at him, the push in the pool really sent this fight over the cliff in the worst way.
Best: Lyrica’s Mom Outsings Her
Who needs haters when you have a mom like Lyrica’s, who quite literally out-sings you at what’s supposed to be your introduction and big moment? While this was definitely cringey, it’s also just downright hilarious because her mother sounds good at the end of the day, and the ad-libs were sadly on point!
Worst: Yandy & Mendeecees Calling It Quits After 20 Years
You would think that starting businesses together, raising kids and sticking by each other while Mendeecees went to federal prison would all be enough to keep him and Yandy Smith together. But sadly, the two decided to part ways in December 2025—much to fans’ disappointment.
Best: K. Michelle, Karlie Redd and the Shook Table
It was clear from the moment Karlie Redd walked into the restaurant and tried to hug K.Michelle that there was going to be some drama. But we didn’t expect things to go as far as they did. (We can’t lie, this moment gave us the iconic “whoo, this b*tch is shaking the table” line, so we can’t be too mad.)
Worst: Ray J Rips Up His Prenup In Front of Friends and Family
Given all the drama we’ve now seen unfold between Ray J, Princess Love and his mother, Sonja, who knew seeing him rip up his prenup would be just a small glimpse of all the trouble to come?

Ray J rip up the Prenup that his mama gave him because he trust Princess. The mama is mad and Brandy so messy!
