Trump’s Unhinged Ilhan Omar Rant Backfires When He Spills How Guilty People Dodge — and Accidentally Tells on Himself

President Donald Trump obsesses over Minnesota congresswoman Ilhan Omar and can’t stop talking about her.

During an Oct. 26 campaign rally in Corinth, Mississippi, Trump started ranting about Omar’s first interview since the federal raid on her Washington home this month.

But during his ranting, he spectacularly turned his own explanation for her answer to one question into a major blunder on his part.

During that interview with MS NOW’s Chris Hayes, the Somali-born Democrat swatted down rumors again that she had married her brother, calling the suggestion “insane.”

But she did give a head-scratching answer when Hayes asked, “You’re not related to him at all?”

“Not to my knowledge,” Omar replied.

“So, there’s no weird kernel of truth,” Hayes pressed.

“Not to my knowledge,” Omar repeated.

The person in question is Omar’s ex-husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi. Omar told Hayes that right-wing conspiracy theorists started the decade-old allegation that Elmi is her brother after a “Somali blog” published posts claiming she married him in a failed attempt to get him a green card.

Trump latched on to her response during his Mississippi rally.

“When asked whether or not she married her brother, she said, ‘Not to my knowledge.” Trump crowed.

“You know what, that’s from a lawyer told her to say that. When a lawyer knows you’re guilty, a question like that, the lawyer always says, ‘Pretend you don’t know.’ That was not a good answer,” Trump proclaimed.

His opponents quickly pounced, pointing out that Trump would know firsthand because he has intimate knowledge of lawyer-speak.

During Trump’s 2022 deposition in New York in a civil suit filed by Attorney General Letitia James against the Trump Organization’s business practices, he invoked the Fifth Amendment 440 times, according to NBC News.

In fact, the only question he answered during the four-hour hearing was to confirm his name.

Social media exploded, calling out Trump’s hypocrisy

“Trump explaining exactly how guilty people act. Most self-aware thing he has said all year,” an X user noted. “By that logic, Trump is guilty of everything,” another observed.

This commenter hilariously pointed out, “Advice that I’m sure Trump has gotten many, many times.”

Poster Renegade Rose agreed, “Speaking from experience.”

Trump has spent years accusing the naturalized American citizen of fraud, attacking her Somali heritage and insisting she should face consequences for who even knows what.

And Trump’s latest bizarre comments about her come two weeks after his Department of Justice raided her Washington home on Monday, Oct. 12.

The search is part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation and has drawn scrutiny over its timing and the administration’s history of targeting Omar.

The raid also raised questions again about his own standards: Trump once accused the Justice Department of election interference for taking investigative action close to an election, and now his administration is defending a search conducted just 22 days before the midterms.

Also, during Hayes interview on MS NOW, Omar said she can’t go back to her DC home following the raid, which made her address public and raised fears that people threatening her life could also track her children.
